ProConnect Tax

For 2019 tax returns, where can you input the Other Income (Loss) S-Corp K-1 info with a designation *H on the K-1 (other)? The Input screens appear to only go to 10G.

Carryovers to next year 1040

Hi everyone! When you prepare an individual 1040 in proconnect, does the tax return generate a page that shows all carryovers to the next year? There is a page like this in prosystems tax prep - I really like to have it generate if there is an option. Sorry if this has already been asked! I searched for this question but did not see it already asked. Thanks!

Multistate K1 on individual return

Hi all,Second question of the day.I have a client with a multistate k1.Home state is Alabama, K1 is for NC. I cannot get the income to flow to Federal and North Carolina without also flowing to Alabama.I need the federal to show income, Alabama to show zero, NC to show income. Ive looked at the following article:https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/help-articles/help/sourcing-income-for-a-multi-state-passthrough-k-1/00/4820I have tried its suggestions, I have tried using the N and S drop downs, I have tried every combination. If AL shows zero, then so does Federal. If NC shows income, then AL and Fed are both zero. What I need is for NC to show income, Fed to show income, and AL to show zero for the particular amounts. Thanks so much I hope this makes sense

If an adjustment is needed, please determine the correct code to be used on Form IT-225 and enter the amount on the New York "Modifications" screen. Is any one familiar?

Community Property State/Divorced Taxpayer

Why are there critical diagnostics on my divorced taxpayers tax return requesting 'domestic partner' information for income allocation sheet saying it a MFS return cannot be filed without that information when the return is marked as single taxpayer and not MFS?   The taxpayer has been divorced for the second year in a row and the return is marked single for 2018 and 2019.  The 2018 return e-filed just fine with no errors especially this one but now for 2019 this is the error.  Why?

have tried calling every number I can find, waiting two, three hours on hold, she's tried calling also. No one knows anything, what can we do know. Where's my refund shows nothing on new refund amount and until last week was still showing received for the old amount, now it doesn't show anything.

2019 tax year E-filing: Multiple Forms 2555

According to PTO (from critical diagnostics): e-File returns can only have one 2555 or 2555EZ per taxpayer and/or Spouse. If more than the allowed number of form 2555 are included with the return it MUST be paper filed. Multiple W-2's from the same employer paid to the same taxpayer in the same qualified period may be included on a single form 2555 and e-filed.Can TP combined 2 foreign earned incomes from 2 different employers (but the same foreign country) into a single Form 2555? TP got a new employment in 2019. Under this combination, total foreign earned income exclusion, total income, AGI, tax liability remain the same. Thanks for your time and comment.

Child Tax Credit

2019 Married Filing Joint return with 1 Child (US Citizen) below 2 years old. Total wages (earned income) is $212,000 and foreign earned income exclusion $195,000.  AGI Line 8b is $18,000 And Taxable Income Line 11b is zero. Tax Line 12b is zero. Child tax credit line 13a is blank. It is my understanding that if a taxpayer doesn’t owe any tax before claiming the credit, they will receive up to $1,400 as part of their tax refund. How to enable PTO to claim the refundable child tax credit ($1,400)?Also PTO does not generate Form 8867 Paid Preparer's Due Diligence Checklist. How to enable PTO to generate such form? Thanks for your time and comment.

Report Rental property sale - as Bulk sale v. report Improvement seperately

Hi,Did any had do that?reporting a rental sale at a gain. According to PCO instruction, entered each asset assocaited to the property as bulk sales (multi-assets), but got an error message as below: #3 has a depreciation recapture method (1245, 1250, etc.) that differs from the main asset of the bulk sale in which it is included. For the depreciation recapture to be correctly reported on Form 4797, this asset should be input as a separate sale. (Asset #1. Land,  Asset # 2. Building  - depreciated over 27.5,  Asset# 3. Improvement kitchen - deprecioated over 7 years and took bonus depreciation)What I have done:report Asset #3 seperately not as part of Bulk sales asset, then only allocate portion sales proceeds (equal to adjusted basis), so no gain or loss on form 4797 page 1 Part I
