EasyACCT

I am not understanding this issue.  I have companies with fiscal years, my recent is 5-31-26.  When I go into June, to work with items in June, the files for January thru April are missing, they are gone, customer support says I have to complete May "totally" before I can go into June, how am I supposed to work in the month, I have answered the question, do you want to close the g/L, I say "no", cuz i am not done with May, but it will not take me to June, it just stalls.  If I do answer "yes", then I lose everything I have entered, reconciled and input I have done in 2026. I have used this software for 25 years and have NEVER had this issue.  Are we all going to have these issues at year end? We can't go into January until we are completely done with December, well a business cannot work on those terms.  I need to talk to someone, that understands my issue, the 2 people I have spoken to are trying to do the job, but I am not getting the answers to my questions.  Any emails or phone num

WILL THE EASYACCT SOFTWARE/PROGRAM RUN ON AN APPLE MACBOOK RUNNING iOS SYSTEM?OR WILL IT ONLY RUN ON WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM?GOD BLESS US ALL!

Anyone else still having problems with their A/R?   For some reason some accounts are showing balances due from last year that I know has already been paid.  Tried the A/R repair and it does nothing.  We are now in June and we can't send out statements because they are wrong.  

The financials are printing with a blank page.  Anyone else have this issue?

I started the day with an overnight Windows 11 update. When I try to open EasyACCT now nothing appears on my screen. Task Manager shows EasyACCT running but no login screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled EasyACCT but it is still not opening on the screen.I'm using the latest version of EasyACCT (2025.3.05).The two Windows updates were KB5089549 (Security Update) and KB5087051 (.NET Framework Update).I'm migrating to this new computer from an older one with Windows 10 on it and so I still have a functioning program available on the other computer but I'm really trying to get everything moved over to the new system.Any advice?

I posted about this in March... Forms 4562 and 4797 finally got updated to show the 2025 forms, HOWEVER... Form 4562 is not generating page 2, it is just blank. It generates page 1, 3, and the supporting schedules. I reached out to support in March, they gave me a case number and said they would investigate, then I got a email from "NoResponse" that told me "The unexpected behavior you have experienced regarding the 4562 page 2 has been reported and has been determined to be working as designed. Please be sure to make use of the Next Page button located on the toolbar." and they closed the case without talking to me to learn that I had already done that and it still didn't work. I called back the next day to open another case to tell them that was NOT a fix and still do not have a resolution. I will be contacting support AGAIN, but thought I would let others know. Is anyone else having this issue???

Updated 5/26/26:  If you are not able to open EasyACCT after the latest Windows update, follow the below steps as a workaround to resolve the issue:   Open the Windows Tax Manager, Locate the EasyACCT process and select End Task. Go to the Windows Settings, select Bluetooth & Devices. Select Microsoft Print to PDF as the default printer Relaunch EasyACCT.   We’re aware that for users running Windows 11 version 24H2 and 25H2, the latest Windows updates KB5089549 and KB5087051 may cause instability with EasyACCT, including difficulty opening the program. Customers who haven't yet installed these patches should be aware of this issue when deciding whether to proceed with the update. For customers who have already installed these patches and are experiencing issues, we are currently investigating potential workarounds. While uninstalling the Windows patches may appear to resolve the issue, doing so can introduce additional complications with EasyACCT, so we do not

New issue? Sales journal - I am entering my 2026 income into the sales journal BUT FIRST I have to delete all the 2025 income that came through into 2026. This is happening to most of the clients.  Is this issue on the fix it list?  It is already May 2026, and still issues with this software, getting beyond frustrated.Toshia

Hi, It is now May and we still cannot do more than one check in Manual payroll processing. You have to enter the first check and close it out and go back in to enter the second check.  The minus sign is still missing when entering journal entries. This is very annoying for bookkeepers that fly through entering information to have too constantly go back and put the minus sign in front of the number where it belongs. I think these are things that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Your program really has had its issues for this year. Please fix it soon.

We have identified yet another serious EasyAcct payroll defect. For Illinois first quarter unemployment reporting, the system calculates the unemployment contribution correctly on the earnings report. However, when the UC-3 wage report is printed, the contribution due changes to what appears to be a random percentage, producing a grossly overstated tax in the thousands of dollars. This is not a data-entry issue, as the internal earnings report reflects the correct computation. The error appears to occur in the program’s UC-3 report logic or form generation. Because of this defect, we cannot rely on EasyAcct to prepare accurate Illinois unemployment filings, and this creates unnecessary risk, extra verification time, and possible filing delays for our office and our clients.

Among the countless errors, when I try to backup EasyAcct it tells me the system still has the file open, waits a moment and then makes a backup file that is incomplete and useless.Considering EasyAcct only keeps 1 prior year and the current losing all prior work is absolutely unacceptable.  

Accounts receivable module is still a problem!  Automatic invoices are generated on the first of each month and every invoice is for $0.00.  I now have to manually prepare each invoice in order to print the invoice with the correct amount.  Valuable time wasted when time is so precious!A/R module has lost all payments.  Nothing left but the invoice amount.  I can't even go in and manually post payments to invoices before Jan 1 2025.  So if I need to print a statement for a client, every invoice prior to 2025 will have a balance even though those invoices have been paid. 

Was in Write Up/Enter Transactions and was in Special Journals making an adjustment to the wages (as I do EVERY month for tips) and an out of balance kept popping up.  It WASN'T out of balance. I deleted each line and reinput and it doubled the amount of my out of balance. Would not let me out of the screen. Did an End Task to EasyAcct (hate to do that!). Restarted computer "just in case." Even did a Repair. Now I can't even get back into that client. I get a Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range. Since Support is closed today, has anyone else had an issue in Write Up (aside from the cumulative general ledger problem that has existed since day 1 of this release)?

I been a user of Easy Acct since 1988. Each year i download the new version and wont have to worry about the next update until the following year. After 38 years of just having one or two updates,  I have experienced 5 updates in the past 3 months. My financial statement are totally out of balance. After hours is discovery, I located the problem to be mostly isolated to A/R module. When entering a AR invoice, it is debiting accounts receivable, crediting revenue, and a mysterious credit to cash. This is throwing my balance sheet out since there is a second credit entry.  The mysterious credit to cash is coming from the internal programing. Feels like a glitch in the matrix! There is no way to make a journal entry to correct the books. Very bizarre. I been waiting since January for them to fix the problem. Is there anyone experience a similar problem? 

Anybody else having this issue when trying to Transfer Company Information from one Company to Another? I am wanting to copy the Financial Statement Design from one of my established Company's into a new Company. I am going into the new Company, selecting Company Setup Wizard, Selecting Transfer Company Information, choosing the Data Path of the established Company and choosing the established Company as the Company to Copy information from, but when I try to check the box next to Financial Statement Design an error message pops up saying "There is no Financial Statement Design to transfer." I know there is a Financial Statement Design there because I have printed Financial Statements in that Company for the past 15 years.

Does anyone else still have the problem of when you enter after the fact payroll you have to go out of the client after the first check is put in? I hope I am explaining this clearly enough, but when I put payroll in I & I go to hit F10 or F9 to go to the next or previous, the payroll sits there & does nothing. I even hit next in the payroll entry screen & still nothing. I have to return to the enter transaction screen & sometimes return to the client listing & sometimes even have to go out of EasyAcct altogether before it'll go to the next paycheck. This has been a problem with EA for awhile now & I think it fell through the cracks of getting taken care of. Can anyone else confirm they are having these problems & if you fixed it then how? Other than having to do what I stated above. Once you do the fix the first time, then after that it works just like it's supposed to. 

It is happen again. all my payroll data is gone. i cant access my company. Common Easy do some thing. 

On the latest updateForever when you hit the minus it took you to the next field.  With the new update...it takes you back to the front of the amount field...WTH?!!

THE CAPITAL ACCOUNT IS NOT CARRYING FORWARD THE CORRECT BALANCE.  EVERY CLIENT THAT WE HAVE CHECKED HAS THIS PROBLEM.

Has anyone received an e-file acceptance for 2026 1st Qtr Form 941? I sent on 04/01/26 and has been pending ever since then. I transmitted using update 2025.3.02. Have since updated to 2025.3.03.

Come back from lunch and cannot open any client company. Was working fine before.  Same error message - "unable to access data files for company xxxx"Nothing I do seems to fix the issue.   

One of our clients salaried employees went on vacation so we put their salary amount in vacation and EZ is figuring Fica and Medicare on the salary + the vacation rather than the gross wages.  This is a new issue.  Anyone else run into this???
