Is anyone else having a problem where they go into the payroll entry screen for afer the fact P/R & enter a check number that has already been entered & the program closes out on them? Ex: You have someone who gets paid a certain amount every week & you go into the program to make sure you entered the previous week’s check. If you input the check number that was previously used the program will spin for a few secs then just closes out. This is a pain & I can’t figure out why it keeps doing this. I know it says what the last check number is at the top of the payroll entry screen under write up processing, but if I have to check the amounts of particular check I have to use F9 or F10 to go to the next check or the previous check. I could just as well enter the last check number & it pop up on the screen just like it used to. Is anyone else having this problem?  If so is there a fix & I just missed it?

Why does accounts that were paid last week and show paid in reports the next week can show not paid and check that was printing is not in check run?

When I do a Form 941, I always have to fill in the Preparer Information at the end. Where does this get entered on EasyAcct so it automatically fills in?

We finally had no choice but to install the 2025 version. While it is a little better than it was when we tried it in January, it still has major issues. And yes, we are on the latest version. If you are keying too fast, it completely freezes. When I click on the drop down for the vendor, I have no vendors for several seconds. Same with the account number drop down. I process payroll for several clients. It is a nightmare! After printing the payroll checks and posting them, the program freezes completely and I had to force quit the program, sign back in, and only then could I print my Journals. This doubled the time it took to process the payrolls. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one having these issues, but I am seeing nothing on this forum. And I am curious as to how Intuit could completely jack up a previously great software in one fell swoop.

It seems every update there is a different issue with A/P.  I created invoices that should have been correct, but it didn’t save any of my prior changes. This continues to occur. It also picks up old charges that occurred in history but aren’t current. This is an ongoing frustration along with so many others, payroll taxes being correct is another. Also, you can’t read the line you are working in, it isn’t fitting the screen correctly. You can’t fix the line above because YOU CAN ONLY SEE IT IF YOU ARE IN THE LINE BELOW! Frustrated and sick of the issues especially for the extreme cost of the program!

Hi all,I manage the books for several small-business clients in QuickBooks Online Accountant. One client's bank connection dropped last month. After it was reconnected, the feed pulled in about 60 transactions that were already categorized and matched, so now they show up again under "For Review."What I've checked so far:The dates and amounts match the existing entries exactly. The previous months are already reconciled. Excluding them one by one works, but it's time-consuming and I'm worried about missing one.My questions:Is there a faster way to bulk-exclude or match these duplicates without touching the reconciled periods? If I exclude them, can that cause problems with the next reconciliation or the beginning balance? Has anyone found a way to keep this from happening when a bank connection is re-authenticated?I'm on QBO Advanced, and the client banks with a large national bank. Any workflow tips or lessons learned would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Best Regards: ELYRSOFFICIAL

In view of all the problems with the update since January, 2026 I am asking if most of you will stay with it for 2027 or if you are trying something else.  If another program, what?My boss is wanting me to stop using Easy Accounting, but I reallly like it (before 2026.)

We are running EasyAcct on network in our office. My question is, if we have some workstations on Windows 10 and some on Windows 11, will that mess things up? Like if a Windows 11 workstation goes into a specific company number, will the Windows 10 workstations be able to access that client number afterwards? I know with some updates if it has been opened by a user with a newer update, the older update users can’t get in until they update.

I figured after a better part of a year, they’d have the EasyAcct software dialed in, but no…Just tried to get a head start on quarterly payroll tax returns in California, and the DE 9 and DE9C filings are a mess. Not only does the software throttle down to a crawl, now you get error readings when trying to print file forms.  Some things never change.  It took me exactly an hour to get the program to give me a viable file to upload to the EDD and I was able to get a copy of the DE9 but NOT the DE 9C.  Error reading 339 once and “You Dont Have a Proper License” to print forms the next attempt.   Ahhh what?  The irony of course is Intuit is asking me to RE UP for another year at $3420.00!  They should be giving away the software for this upcoming renewal period after the absolute nonsense they put thousands of users through.  Moderator - please forward this to the software team so they can fix the issue.

Beginning in July year to date earnings included both July 26 and July 25….This hass obnly occurred in a couple of clients….but frustrating none the less

I entered several journal entries for the wroing month and need to dlete them. Is there a way to do this without having to hit delete for each line item?

QuickBooks Online Payroll is mandating Intuit pays and files payroll taxes.  I was told we had no choice.  QBO does not have experts in this field.  They have gathered information from the client’s usage.  What are others doing about this?  As the accountant, I speak for my clients.  This is unwanted and I’m being told I’ll have to download them into a Desktop file if I don’t want this service.

I’m curious if anyone has used Information Return System for e-filing to IRIS and what does it look like?  We are trying to decide if we need to be searching for a new platform for e-filing.  We’ve used Info Return system for years and would really like to stay with it just for the familiarity of it.

Now that we have a code for the Overtime payfield, do we know if that is going to transfer 100% of paid overtime wages or the OT Premium that is deductible to the W-2s?

We'll be performing brief, routine database maintenance to improve overall platform performance, stability, and security.📅 Maintenance Window:Sunday, August 30 at 11:30 PM CST – Monday, August 31 at 1:30 AM CST⏰ Expected Downtime: Approximately 30–40 minutes during the two-hour maintenance window. This maintenance is intentionally scheduled during off-peak hours to minimize disruption. If you experience a brief interruption, please save your work and try reconnecting shortly afterward. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we continue to work to keep your system running smoothly.

For 2026 we are required to get overtime reported on the W2s. I see that there is now a code to get ALL the OT into the W2. How will we get just the FLSA OT on the W2? Is EASYACCT only going to report ALL the overtime on the W2 and not the third that is used for the tax deduction. No I have not called Easy acct to ask them, cause I don’t want to wait on hold. Just curious what every one else is gonna do for their clients. Thanks

Since it doesn’t look like the 2024 easyacct professional series is available for download, is there a way to copy my current 2024/2025 program files (the version that actually works) from one computer to another?  For example, could I copy the entire EASYW folder to another computer and make it work.  Just begging for a way.

The payroll journal does not have a user defined ending date. The system defaults to the most currect payroll as the ending date. For example if I need a payroll journal for the period 1/26-3/26, the system will default to 1/26-current payroll date. Is there are work around for this problem?

When I look at the dashboard in my Intuit account, under the previous versions bought, it only shows the 2025 (2025/2026) version, what about all of the other versions I bought.  I want to know how to download the 2024 version.   Why would this version not be available?  I want to put it on a laptop to use out of town.  And “No”, I still haven’t downloaded the 2025 version on my main computers because I don’t trust it.

For overtime I use 12TT but what do I need to enter for doubletime pay?

I'm curious how others handle this type of reconciliation situation.A bank statement shows one deposit for $14,200.When I look at the accounting records, there isn't a single $14,200 transaction. Instead, I find: $5,000 $5,200 $4,000 Together, they equal $14,200.The issue is that a straightforward exact-amount match won't identify any of them because none of the individual transactions matches the bank amount. This seems like a fairly common 1-to-many reconciliation situation: one bank transaction represents multiple accounting transactions. How do you typically handle these during reconciliation?Do you: Manually identify the related transactions? Use an aggregation/grouping approach? Rely on matching by amount + date + description? Have a workflow that automatically surfaces possible combinations for review? I'm particularly interested in how people handle this when there are thousands of transactions and you don't want to manually test every possible combination.
