Client receives referral fee from Real Estate Agent for giving leads to him.  Where should we report his Referral Fee Income?

When filing out the T1135 Foreign Income Verification Statement using Part A: Simplified reporting method, the program will not accept $0 as the Gain(loss) from the disposition from all specified foreign property.  In the auditor there is a T1135 Error message that reads "Part A: please enter an amount in the Gain/Loss from the disposition from all specified foreign property field.  If nil enter 0."  But when I enter 0 (Zero) the line remains yellow and the error does not disappear.  Has any one else had this problem?  And how do I fix it?

A client sold his property and landed the money to an acquaintance/investor (through a lawyer legally). He earned 75K interest and reporting 50:50 with his wife app 37.5K each. I have three questions. Does he have to fill out a T1206 form? This income is reported on line 12100, correct? Would there be a better strategy to save tax next year, excluding the RRSP purchase as he is 67 and has no room for RRSP. Will really appreciate your response.
