I have a client that wants to efile W2s for 2015, 2016, and 2018. Will I be able to efile through the proconnect system for these years or do I need to submit them all by paper? Do I need to do anything special to get these processed?

Can't transmit to Intuit 2of2 returns/extensions/payments successfully/converted0 of 2 returns/extensions/payments successfully transmitted did update no new ones were found

it is asking me to complete a K1 when there is not distribution being made

Apparently, paper copies will not do for tax years ending on December 31, 2021. I don't want to hire someone to do these taxes when I have calculated the numbers, but don't have any idea how or what software to submit the information. I bought a tax return on this software not knowing I needed to be an ERO with a pin.

As per the 2020 f4848 instructions:You don’t need to file Form 4868 if you make a payment using our electronic payment options. The IRS will automatically process an extension of time to file when you pay part or all of your estimated income tax electronically.TP will pay his estimated of tax liability for 2020 via IRS Direct Pay. Is there any harm to also e-file f4868 via PTO? TP wants to make sure that the extension is accepted and he will not receive any notices. Also, in order for f4848 to be valid, the IRS Direct pay has to be made on or before June 15, 2021 (TP is abroad). Correct? Thanks for your comment and time.

Schedule E should show the passive losses offsetting the non-passive income in the current year because the K-1 is final, but I don't see where to tell ProConnect that this is a final K-1.

How do I override the system which automatically enters the $800 as paid?

I have correct partner basis worksheets but can't find where to input beginning capital, current partner contributions and distributions for a correct Section L on K-1s and the 1065 beginning and ending balance sheets.  Online chat and customer support answers have reflected people reading a manual and having no idea about what I'm talking about.  HELP!  Please!

I am using Form 1040SR and Minnesota state tax return.  Minnesota is rejecting with error code 0630.  It is using line numbers from 1040 or 1040nr.  These don't correspond to 1040sr.

I am locked out of my ProSeries Tax Software and I cannot find a phone number (that is not telling me the hours for technical support are for Monday - Friday. I need help now!!!!!!!!!! Renee Cater [ph# removed]

Letter was received from Oregon that we did not pay the minimum excise tax due on a Sub-S. Letter states that all S Corps doing business in the state must pay the minimum $150.00 excise tax. The return in Proconnect shows no tax due.

The 1040-X did not eliminate the tax it only reduced the tax, i.e. taxpayer still ultimately owed and wants the overpaid credited to 2021 estimated tax.  The 1040-X indicates a refund, and nothing prints in the 1040-X boxes for Line 23 even though in 1040-X input screen it is marked to credit to 2021, so nothing is happening.  If you try and enter the credit in the estimated tax screen as apply to 2021 and suppress estimates, the credit show up on 1040 Line 36 and you get a red diagnostic saying the return (meaning Form 1040 not Form 1040-X) shows a balance due and a credit to next year, which can not be on the same form....obviously.  It appears this simple amended return Form 1040-X can not be E-Filed.

How/where do I enter the information needed for the Schedule OI that goes with the 1040NR?

I would appreciate your help, I have the following question; Why the form 8867 Due Diligence is NOT showing on her Income Tax? I wonder if it is because she doesn't qualify for any of the credits described on this form?  Thanks!

Ive received a link from my accountant in order to fill out my taxes. I added all my info, files etc. and today when I logged in, I had access to 4 other peoples tax returns. Address, bank info... all of it 🙂 Interesting data privacy issue on our hands. Clicking on Contact us for help lead me here. So here I am. I also have someone else's avatar and an account number.  Sara

After client e-Signed the return, I caught the electronic payment option was not checked.  As that is what client requested, I checked the box and e-filed the return, defaulting payment day is 5/17/21.  I believe the electronic payment election was transmitted to the IRS, but how do I make sure of that?  Client told me they did not see a payment went out of their bank today.  How many days does the payment clear the bank, and how do I verify whether this payment election was truly transmitted to the IRS?
