Hello,I was trying to report in the S3 Details schedule my share of capital gain on a disposal of my cottage and my friend has to report his share. The schedule only provides space to reflect share percentages for the taxpayer (myself) and spouse. In this case, there is no spouse involved. Where can I put my friends share and his SIN # in order to complete this schedule ? Can anybody help ? Your insight in this would be greatly appreciated.Thank you, Ric

I made a mistake. I have a new client who is separated. I honestly thought I changed it to "Separated" before EFiling it, I swear I remember changing it. 😞Client received an email regarding marital status change. How to fix this? Is there a EFile hotline I can call? I have already Efiled the return.

Does anyone know when the bug from the update in October, that made it unable to copy the verbiage from client letters to an external document, such as an email?  This is going to be a time consuming nightmare during tax season for our electronically filed returns, if we cannot copy certain information from Profile into an email for our clients.

While filing form T2205, I am putting the amount my client transferred to his wife in 2022 that is to be reported in 2022 T1. However, I am unable to file the return, I throws a warning that the file is a draft and a future release shall be available. Is anyone facing the same? Any solutions for it?

I am getting message that says "Value cannot be null. Parameter name:source" when I try to check return usage.As well, I can not change my license as I get an error that says "access to the path C:\ProgramData\GreenPoint\profileLiteAudit.dat" is denied".  

In Profile, there is the question "is the mailing address the same as the home address".  In my case the answer is no but where do I enter the mailing address?

First client with rental income.. Married Couple..They have a basement suite that they rent out.I prepared the T776 and the couple has decided to split the income 50/50. I entered the details, please see below, and I entered the expenses... the personal portion use is 73%Upon checking the Auditor, It wants me to check T776CCASummary#1, please see below, There is this area here that's throwing me off.  Do I have to worry about this? The couple has had the house since 2018... they just started renting the suite last year.   

I have a client who lives with his sister. Her husband claims the full residency amount.  Under the new changes to the travel amount (the $1200) is he able to claim that $1200 deduction for travel?

Does anybody know why people owing CERB and paying not showing up in their CRA Accounts?? below is a letter my client received last year   

I have a client who built a house with a suite in it 30 years ago. Her parents were going to move into the suite, but that never happened. She started renting out the suite to help with the mortgage and has never claimed CCA on it. She just recently sold the suite to her daughter, but still owns and lives in the rest of the house. I am unsure how to claim this sale. I understand it the rental suite does not take away from the principle residence exemption as it is less than 50% of the house and no CCA was claimed. Would I claim this as the sale of the principle residence even though she still owns part of it? 

I have had this box with the following wording "Unlimited or Suite license is necessary to perform this action for Module T1 and Year 2022" pop up on my ProFile program. Anyone know why? I have purchased my 2022 ProFile licenses a few weeks ago.

Is there a way to re-order your form selection so that you can select the order forms print in when printing T1's and T2's?  I know how to set up my default forms to print, however I would like to set it to print things like the letter, summary etc first, rather than at the end of the file being printed.  This would be especially handy when printing double sided.

Hello, I do have a client who bought a condo last year. Four of them acquire the house - my client, her husband and their two children. I understand that they are eligible for the 10,000 credit and my question is, will their two children qualify for the credit as well, or is it just my client and her spouse? Thank you!

I used the BusAuto#1 Form to fill in all of the motor vehicle expenses for 2020 which then autofilled the T2125 and, I believe, the CCA Summary chart.  I then carried forward the file into 2021.Now, for 2021, I am trying to dispose of that vehicle, so I double click on the class column at the beginning of the CCA Summary chart in order to bring up the asset, but it is blank?So I'm thinking that it only takes it's info from the BusAuto Form, but then how do I dispose of the vehicle?I always thought that each item listed in the summary could be clicked on to get to the details, but I guess that's not the case.Any help would be most appreciated!

The required repayment from the client's 2021 Notice of Assessment is the same amount that was entered and repaid on this line. I don't understand why it's giving me an error.
