Just checking to see if anyone has been able to reach EasyAcct regarding the following error message:Error Code: 54Problem: EasyAcct is updating the product for IRS 941 changes.Solution: Please come back after 10/12/2020 to file your returns. I was on hold for about 20 minutes this morning and gave up thinking I could check the product alerts to which there were none.  Thanks!

We do bookkeeping and payroll for about 35 companies using EasyACCT. I want to start e-filing W2 forms using the Information return System for 2021 for the employers we do payroll for. Looking at the Help articles I see that you have to register with SSA’s Business Services Online. However, it looks like I can only register as my company and not as a payroll service provider that wants to e-file W2 forms for my clients. Am I missing something, or is there no option for a payroll service provider to e-file W2 forms using the Information Return System?

There is now a box stating W2EF(SSA) with .txt format. Is anyone aware of how that works? Looking at the Release Notes, it seems that along with the normal file extension one is also created with a .txt extension. I need the .txt for Illinois W-2's but not for any other. Has anyone used this? How do you tell the two apart? If I uncheck that box does it only eliminate the creation of the .txt files? Can I go back a second time and use that box to create .txt files?    

When ordering forms this year, I saw that 1099-NECs were going to 3 per page so that is what I ordered.  When we tried printing 1099-NECs from the Information Return System, the federal copy will print 3 per page, but the recipient copy still prints one per page with instructions at the bottom.  Does anyone know if this will be corrected in the expected update today?

I have used EasyAcct for many years and regularly transfer transactions from Quickbooks into EasyAcct so I know how it works.   One of my clients upgraded to QuickBooks v.2022 and EasyAcct will not transfer from it.  I've talked to tech support since 1st week of November.  They have escalated to Tier 2 support and constantly say they are working on it but still no resolution.  My client is tired of waiting for EasyAcct to work and I may lose a client over this.   I am furious at the declined quality of the software and lack of customer support to resolve the problem. This is on 1 stand alone computer - no network.  QB and EA files and programs are on the same drive.  Both current & completely updated software.   No problem transferring from QB v 2021 until client changed to QB v 2022 and EA tech support agreed its a development problem but still have NOT fixed it in 2 months.   Anybody else have this problem and

When printing the 1099-NEC for the recipient the Information System is printing the instructions on the bottom instead of letting you print two to a page.  Intuit supplied us with forms to print two to a page.Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Anyone else having issues printing 1099 NEC? When I print the State Copy it will print the 1099 NEC but then it also wastes 3 sheets of paper printing blank 1099 NEC.

I am getting an error that states the FUTA tax liability for all quarters doesn't equal FUTA tax after adj.I have tried everything to get it to e-file. The amounts over paid vary from .01 cent to $1.69. I'm getting frustrated trying to figure out how to fix it as all the deposits are correct, the set up is like all other companies, so I have no idea why it's giving me an error message. Any suggestions?

My EasyAcct will only allow me to enter two spaces past the decimal.  I need to be able to enter 4 places past it for hourly employees.  I cannot find where to change the default.  Any help would be appreciated.

Is anybody else having problems with the IRS FIRE system today? I can only get as far as "Continue" before I get an error message. I have updated my account as required. Nothing on the website suggests that their system is down or that there is a problem.

We had hoped to e-file 1099s and W-2s this year through Information Return System however I have a number of questions and I'm almost ready to do them on paper for another year.  We did obtain the Transmitter PIN from the SSA and the Transmitter Control Code from the IRS.  However, we are struggling to determine the exact steps within the Information Return Systems and if we are really transmitting the forms.  No confirmation seems available.  The instructions says  "We strongly encourage you to run each file through AccuWage before submitting to the SSA".  We can get to AccuWage but can't locate the IRS file to run through AccuWage.  Can anyone provide any help on how e-filing the 1099s and W-2s works through the Information Return System?

We have installed the update from 1-7-2022 that says that Form 940 is compliant for electronic filing but I get a message that e-filing is not unavailable for Form 940 and when submitted it says another update is coming 1-14-2022.  Can I get a confirmation from someone else that Form 940 forms cannot be e-filed yet? 

Has anyone tried to submit a 1099-NEC test file to the state of WI? Last year we had issues getting the IRS system to generate the electronic file in the format WI wanted. We ended up mailing a bunch of them in. I just tried to upload a test file for 2021 and it's coming back with some of the same errors I got last year. Has anyone had similar issues or been able to submit 1099's to WI? Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Any input is much appreciated!

Has anyone been able to truncate the social security numbers on the employee copies of the W2s? If so can you tell me where you were able to select that option for them?

If the amount is over $5,000 in box 1, the box is checked automatically.  Payer didn't make direct sales, they paid someone for non-employee compensation.  I'm assuming this is a glitch in the system for now.  Any help?Also, since the 1099-NEC went to 3-up forms, the payer's name and address won't completely fit in the available space on the pink copy.  Can the font be changed somehow for the pink copy?

All the lines on form 941 are not showing up after this last update.  I always wait to update so the bugs can get worked out.  Guess I didn't wait long enough.  I have an employer with refundable wages and that line is not available on my screen.  Two of the screens on form 941 have a weird line about halfway down then blank.  I do not have access to the line I need.  Anyone else?

Tried to do the first payroll of the year and got an error message regarding the tax tables.

We have a name change and new federal ID number.  Got everything set up but won't let me use the AR and AP files.  Something about a closing date.  What should I do?

I am having problems downloading the Information Return system for 2021.  Anyone else having issues?

is anyone else having as much trouble as me downloading the EasyACCT program and getting any help for it?  I emailed weeks ago and they finally got back to me today.  I tried downloading again because they said it was now available and same error message. No way to get ahold of them. Only get a chance to post with this board. Even the labels on this post are a pain

My renewal just says download, but I always get the CD also since my internet is so slow.
