EasyACCT

I’m curious if anyone has used Information Return System for e-filing to IRIS and what does it look like?  We are trying to decide if we need to be searching for a new platform for e-filing.  We’ve used Info Return system for years and would really like to stay with it just for the familiarity of it.

Beginning in July year to date earnings included both July 26 and July 25….This hass obnly occurred in a couple of clients….but frustrating none the less

Now that we have a code for the Overtime payfield, do we know if that is going to transfer 100% of paid overtime wages or the OT Premium that is deductible to the W-2s?

For 2026 we are required to get overtime reported on the W2s. I see that there is now a code to get ALL the OT into the W2. How will we get just the FLSA OT on the W2? Is EASYACCT only going to report ALL the overtime on the W2 and not the third that is used for the tax deduction. No I have not called Easy acct to ask them, cause I don’t want to wait on hold. Just curious what every one else is gonna do for their clients. Thanks

Since it doesn’t look like the 2024 easyacct professional series is available for download, is there a way to copy my current 2024/2025 program files (the version that actually works) from one computer to another?  For example, could I copy the entire EASYW folder to another computer and make it work.  Just begging for a way.

The payroll journal does not have a user defined ending date. The system defaults to the most currect payroll as the ending date. For example if I need a payroll journal for the period 1/26-3/26, the system will default to 1/26-current payroll date. Is there are work around for this problem?

When I look at the dashboard in my Intuit account, under the previous versions bought, it only shows the 2025 (2025/2026) version, what about all of the other versions I bought.  I want to know how to download the 2024 version.   Why would this version not be available?  I want to put it on a laptop to use out of town.  And “No”, I still haven’t downloaded the 2025 version on my main computers because I don’t trust it.   

For overtime I use 12TT but what do I need to enter for doubletime pay?

I'm curious how others handle this type of reconciliation situation.A bank statement shows one deposit for $14,200.When I look at the accounting records, there isn't a single $14,200 transaction. Instead, I find: $5,000 $5,200 $4,000 Together, they equal $14,200.The issue is that a straightforward exact-amount match won't identify any of them because none of the individual transactions matches the bank amount.This seems like a fairly common 1-to-many reconciliation situation: one bank transaction represents multiple accounting transactions.How do you typically handle these during reconciliation?Do you: Manually identify the related transactions? Use an aggregation/grouping approach? Rely on matching by amount + date + description? Have a workflow that automatically surfaces possible combinations for review? I'm particularly interested in how people handle this when there are thousands of transactions and you don't want to manually test every possible combination.

When will EASYACCT have a compatible transmission file available that is able to be uploaded to the new IRIS system? 

Client gave me the wrong information for the 2nd Quarter 941 Report.  After I had already electronically filed the report we realized there was an issue with the information we received.  After doing the 941X I had to mail it in, and just hope the USPS gets it there.  I was able to go to Information System to do the 941X and print it out, just not able to efile.

I print my payroll check register and payroll checks by Department. When I print a payroll journal (after I posted my checks) all of the employees have different check numbers. Why, and how can I correct these check number? Example: the July 31st Original payroll (run by Department),  Kathy's  check number was 106536.  When I print a Payroll Journal Kathy's check number is now #106531.???????

I have a question regarding tip payroll codes. There are two types of tips: direct tips received by employees and indirect/paycheck tips paid through payroll. When I use code 12TP, the tip amount is added to gross pay and deducted from net pay, which works for direct tips but not for paycheck tips. Is there another code for indirect tips that will report correctly on W-2 Box 7 and Box 12 while also including the tip amount in the employee’s paycheck calculation? If not, can you create a code for indirect tips?

I created a new company & transferred the info from an existing. I am having a problem after removing an account from the chart of Accounts. I deleted an account from this new company because they were not subject to the withholding and when I hit F9\F10 to keep scrolling thru the accounts, the program closes out entirely. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am running 2025.3.08. Can someone please let me know if they know how to fix this?

I created 2 checks and for some reason they are not in the ledger and I’m trying to enter them manually and i can’t either 

Hi, It is now May and we still cannot do more than one check in Manual payroll processing. You have to enter the first check and close it out and go back in to enter the second check.  The minus sign is still missing when entering journal entries. This is very annoying for bookkeepers that fly through entering information to have too constantly go back and put the minus sign in front of the number where it belongs. I think these are things that need to be addressed sooner rather than later. Your program really has had its issues for this year. Please fix it soon.

We finally had no choice but to install the 2025 version. While it is a little better than it was when we tried it in January, it still has major issues. And yes, we are on the latest version. If you are keying too fast, it completely freezes. When I click on the drop down for the vendor, I have no vendors for several seconds. Same with the account number drop down. I process payroll for several clients. It is a nightmare! After printing the payroll checks and posting them, the program freezes completely and I had to force quit the program, sign back in, and only then could I print my Journals. This doubled the time it took to process the payrolls. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one having these issues, but I am seeing nothing on this forum. And I am curious as to how Intuit could completely jack up a previously great software in one fell swoop. 

Working in product release 07, 6/30 year end client, closed GL into the next year to begin working on July. Every single balance is incorrect now. It’s rolling from a closed period, cannot figure out what is wrong or why. Thankfully before we updated the program last week we backup up every single company file so I am only going to lose a week of work, but this is a massive company file on a very tight year end deadline. This happened to me last year rolling into the next year. Thankfully, with all the issues you have had in the past  year we have been making frequent external backups. So, the lesson to be learned is, backup frequently; especially before closing your years, because who knows what is going to mess up.

In order to get the Qualified Tips to show on box 12, we need to put in the code 12TP in the Tips and/or Tips’ Rec’d GP. However, they already had the code RPT (Reported Tips), the EasyAcct does not let me replace the RTP code with 12TP.  When I changed it and saved it, the message says “Must Have W2- Code(s) RTP. How do you guys do it?
