Payroll Check Number

Is anyone else having a problem where they go into the payroll entry screen for afer the fact P/R & enter a check number that has already been entered & the program closes out on them? Ex: You have someone who gets paid a certain amount every week & you go into the program to make sure you entered the previous week’s check. If you input the check number that was previously used the program will spin for a few secs then just closes out. This is a pain & I can’t figure out why it keeps doing this. I know it says what the last check number is at the top of the payroll entry screen under write up processing, but if I have to check the amounts of particular check I have to use F9 or F10 to go to the next check or the previous check. I could just as well enter the last check number & it pop up on the screen just like it used to. Is anyone else having this problem?  If so is there a fix & I just missed it?
