ProConnect is a mainly a pay per return and is all web based, so there is no "install" per year. Every year there is a new price and that applies to all the older years.  This is clearly (?) explained in the foot note (Important offers, pricing details, and disclaimers) at the bottom of https://accountants.intuit.com/tax-software/tax-online/pricing/

• Intuit ProConnect tax returns: 

  ProConnect tax returns: All ProConnect tax returns are purchased for a specific tax-year, meaning the taxable period from January 1 through December 31 (“tax year”), and are only accessible for use for such specific Tax Year. Unused tax returns can be used for the specific Tax Year purchased for up to 3 calendar years, so long as User Access is purchased for each calendar year (e.g. unused Tax Year 2025 tax returns may be used for 2025 taxes through December 31, 2028). User Access is required to access functionality in ProConnect services (sold separately). ProConnect Tax returns are credited to the Customer Account Number that purchased them and cannot be transferred to other Intuit accounts.

• Inuit ProConnect Tax Packages: 

  Purchases of ProConnect Tax packages for tax year 2025 between 8 AM CT on August 1, 2025, and 6:59 PM CT on Nov. 5, 2025, are eligible to receive a 30% discount off the list price for ProConnect Tax returns, a 20% discount on Quick Employer Forms, and a 20% discount off the list price for 100 or more eSignature envelopes. • User Access: 

  As of January 1, 2025, ProConnect requires purchase of a separate, single user access license (“User Access”) in order to e-file and print tax returns, and to access other features, including reporting, support, IRS transcripts, Intuit Link, Intuit Tax Advisor, and K-1 delivery. Each User Access license is for a single user log-in and only provides access for the purchased calendar year (e.g., January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025). A minimum of one User Access license must be purchased together with your tax return bank. User Access can be purchased for additional users, as needed. Firms requiring 10 or more users pay a flat fee of $1,049 for User Access. User Access prices are exempt from discounts and promotions.

• Up to 100 free prior-year returns:

• 10+ return price lock: 

  When you buy ten or more returns, you can lock in your tax year 2025 per-return rate for any additional returns you buy for the remainder of the season. After your initial purchase of tax returns, you can later buy additional returns at the same per-return price—no minimum return requirements for later purchases. If you purchase a larger volume of returns in your initial purchase, greater discounts are available.

• Cancellation/refund policy: 

  Unused tax returns and User Access purchases may only be canceled and refunded as follows: (i) if you opted to defer payment on an advanced purchase, you may request a refund until five (5) business days after your Deferred Payment Date; or (ii) if you did not defer payment, you may request a refund within five (5) business days of the New Tax Year Release Date or your Payment Date, whichever is later. No other refund requests shall be honored. Used tax returns are not refundable. After the refund period, User Access licenses are not refundable but may be assigned to other users at your firm.
