Double Authentication not working on all computers in office?

Two of our 4 computers will not do the double authentication sign ons for Lacerte and Quickbooks even after they have been off overnight AND not being signed into any other year. Called tech support and they say they cant help unless they uninstall the Lacerte and reinstall on every computer- and even then not 100% sure if that will help. Its a security issue, so we would like to find a solution.  I haven't seen anywhere to turn DA off and on?

Anyone else having this issue?  Thank you in advance for any insight/help!

I saw other comments in a Facebook group about that for ProSeries.  It seems to be an Intuit problem.  Hopefully they fix it soon.

Lacerte this morning did not ask for an MFA code.  Very odd.  It did yesterday.  Hope they fix it soon.

Called and spoke to Diana at the help center- Lacerte knows it's an issue.  Said its "randomly turned off" and they don't know why (hmmmm).

If you go into your Intuit account: then Sign in and Security you will find its either turned on or turned off.  If OFF, you have to manually turn it ON.  Each person on their intuit account for their computer.

    Hope this helps others!

@Lorikeg Thanks for posting this. We are currently aware and working on the issue with 2FA. In the mean time you can reenable it. We will keep you posted when this is fixed.

I've already reported Intuit's security mistake to my IRS Stakeholder Liaison.  You may want to do the same.  If they forcefully mess up something as basic as this, who know what other security items they are screwing up.

Looks like the MFA issue has not been resolved yet.  Any estimate for a fix?

Hi @CMcCullough There is no ETA yet. You are able to reenable it by following the steps here. We are watching this and a few other posts to update as soon as we have one.

As I do not see any updates, I will send instructions to the full team to turn on MFA for their own account.  But as I think clients use MFA when logging into the intuit portal, it is not a full fix.
