The following diagnostic is generating:

Form 4868 Reject: Form 4868 can only be filed on or before the original due date to which the extension applies, unless Line 8 checkbox or Line 9 checkbox is checked. If Line 8 checkbox or Line 9 checkbox is checked, then Form 4868 can only be filed on or before the extended due date for taxpayers out of the country.

I have an acceptance of the extension from Lacerte as "accepted".

Client lives in the US, not a foreign country, Alaska is his residence.

I keep receiving this diagnostic while processing final returns. These return extensions were e-filed through Lacerte and Lacerte status shows accepted. How do I clear this diagnostic?

I am getting the same diagnostic, and I'm not sure what to do about it. All of my extensions were filed on time, and are shown as "Accepted."

remove the entry on the extension screen under "e-file extension" then "1=e-file extension Form 4868 or Form 2350". its already been e-filed so no need to have that marked still and the diagnostic will go away.
