Question

transmitting slips

So, the method of efiling slips has changed.  I used to be able to log in with Rep-a-client on my own company file, and I could efile as many sets of slips (for other companies) as I wanted to.  Now, I cannot even file my own because the T619 transmittal record doesn't agree with my log in number.  I'm not sure what information they want and where.  I'm sitting on a stack of slips to file, and I can't get any to go.  Used to be a 'transmitter number' but that has been done away with.

ANY clarification on this would be appreciated!

I assume that you have a business number (BN) and a WAC.  You can start in Profile menu EFILE Options, where you enter the Business number (transmitter number if you like). The business number must have 15 digits. If you are filing T4 it will most likely end with RP0001.

Then you will EFILE, this will create the XML and it will  take you to the Profile CRA portal. It will asks you to enter the account number and WAC. For the account number you must enter the same BN that the one you entered in Profile Options, and the WAC associated to your BN

I do NOT have WACs for every client.  And in a lot of cases I don't have their 'date of registration' to meet CRA's requirements.  I have always filed multiple companies through Rep a Client from my own company, but there seems to be some erroneous information picked up now.  I have now managed to file several companies, but there are some that will not go.  And files that were prepared prior to the new version of Profile coming out in July won't load at all.

I haven't tried T5's yet, but I'm sure this will be the same case.....slips prepared in the 2023 module likely won't be recognized.

Thats right, 2023 slips filing is not available yet in Profile due to CRA changes this year, it will be available in R3.0 next week.

If you are submitting the XML through CRA's "Represent a Client", enter your RepId  and enter the transmitter number (BN). Not entering a BN might be acceptable too but this would have to be confirmed with CRA.

The business number depends of the types of slips, for T4, T4A  RP, T5 RZ etc.
