From recent draft. How much due dilIgenCE is expected from us on this one?

I would believe the same due diligence as any other question on the 1040. If something seems off just ask additional questions, and document your answers

What would make me think “something seems off”? Should I ask to see passports and birth certificates? How would I know what a Taiwan engineer’s H-1B visa should look like? Will Block be checking visas also? Will word get around the TSMC fab that I should be avoided because of my due diligence?

@BobKamman Can’t answer that question for you, but I’m sure you know when something seems off. Don’t know the Block you referred too. as far as what a H-1B visa looks like google is your friend

As much diligence as ICE puts in to make sure they aren’t hassling folks that are either U.S. citizens or here legally????? It really isn’t going to be much of an issue with my client base but I do have a couple of clients from the planet Remulak. Do those aliens have a higher or lower bar to clear in determining if they are lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.?
