Is that normal practice for the state involved when one spouse dies?

If you have more than one file marked for efile, you will receive that error so if you have Clientfile1.19i marked for efile that is the Federal and ClientFile2.19i that also is marked for efile but being used as the state...

1. go into file 1 and unmark it for efile

2. go into file 2 and mark that for efile

You should then be able to file client 2.

Hope that helps.
