Hello community

I am not that computer savvy so can someone please tell me if the proseries tax software will work on a computer with AMD Ryzen 7 5700u 8core processor?

The specs read recommended intel core i5 or better with 2.5 GHz or mininum 2.0 GHz of course I have no idea what any of this means

Id venture to guess youre fine, but try this to see your GHz and RAM:

• Then click Settings. This is the gear-shaped icon just above the power button.
• Next, click System.
• Scroll down and click About from the left sidebar. Here, you can find details about your processor, RAM, and other info.

The CPU compares favorably with many (not all) newer Intel series chips and provides enough performance to easily handle ProSeries.  Other areas regarding computer performance are storage drives (SSD is faster than HDD), RAM Memory, and graphics memory.  For ProSeries (and other desktop applications) a faster storage drive is always a better option.  That said, the older HDD devices can make cost effective backup storage locations.  I always recommend a local (local to you) backup, in addition to a cloud based backup solution.  The more RAM memory you have the better.  While ProSeries will run adequately with most default modern memory, I have been using 16 Gig as a standard for the past seven or so years.  The reason for this is locally install anti-virus software, anti-malware software, Adobe products, locally installed MS Office products, and  some phone products also consume RAM memory.  Memory is relatively inexpensive at the current time.  If this is a desktop computer, a battery powered UPS is recommended.  Some (many) of these devices have a filtering ability to stabilize the electricity coming into your office or residence.
