Client refund is still processing

Hi All,

I e-filed a client return with a form 1099-B for Bitcoin Sales from cash app. She had no cost basis, so all of it was taxable. I answered yes to virtual currency question on the 1040. The tax refund is still processing 2 1/2 weeks later.  I tried calling the IRS tax practitioner's hotline and no one answer.  The client is getting frustrated.  Has anyone else experienced the same delay?

2 1/2 weeks isnt that long and certainly not long enough to waste time calling about.  They wont have any more information than what you can see on WMR.

Probably nothing to do with the crypto, just one of those things. Maybe pulled into ID verification?  You never know.
