Question

Authorizing a prior year return

I have a client that we are filing the last 4 years of returns.  Can e-file 2018, 2019 and 2020 but 2017 is on paper.  Every time I try to print 2017 it tells me I have to authorize the returns and pay for the returns.  I have ProSeries and do not use the PPR portion, but have an unlimited license.  The 2018, 2019 returns are fine.

What is the issue and how do I fix it?

How complicated is the return?  You can listen to music on hold when you call tech support on Monday, or you can use the online fillable pdf forms if all you have is a 1040 and maybe Schedules A and B.  Should take 15 minutes.

Just Lisa usually recommends relicensing so that your computer and Intuit's system agree that you have unlimited status (this is not paying again, but just updating your computer)

It looks like it is under Tools

Absolutely correct, found it under the tools heading.  Worked just fine.

Thanks
