Taxable Grant Expenses

I received a taxable grant to improve my property and eliminate the Spruce Bud Worm Problem.  I have expenses to offset the payment, but I don't know where to enter them on the return.  This is not related to a trade or business. I am a tax professional asking this question for my own taxable grant.

I've used the Other Income Statement, Line 24 to enter expenses/adjustments for 1099-MISC.   I think you could do the same for your Grant.

Please refrain from duplicating your questions.  You just posted the same question just about an hour ago.  If you have anything to add, you should keep it within the original thread.
