ProSeries file with the extension file

How do you merge a ProSeries file worked on in a different computer with the extension file? I want to avoid the duplicate error without losing the proof of filing the extension.

You cant, you need to use the file that you extended to complete and file the actual return.

On the new return, click on the boxes like you were going to file the extension for the first time. Then go to the EF center and highlight the return, click on the e-file tab and then select update acknowledgements.
