Does anybody know if a TIAA pension from NYU (New York University) is exempt from NYS/NYC taxes?

Hi,

Yes the TIAA pension from NYU is exempt from NYS/NYC taxes. The taxpayer's W2 will have a code in one of the lower boxes on the W2. Don't have the W2 in front of me but there is a code.
