Michigan tax returns

Originally Michigan Tax returns were to be e-filed today January 26, now it says February 2, why is that?  Really don't understand why.  If Federal returns were ready on January 23, you would think we would be able to e-file our state tax returns as well.  Any insight would be appreciated.  The thought of holding all these returns til February 2 is not efficient.

I cannot answer on your specific Michigan returns, but Forms Release dates and e-file dates are "approximate".  ProSeries has to wait for the Fed and State government agencies to grant approval before they can finalize.  That's my guess.
