May 17th extension and amended returns

Does anyone know if the May 17th extension for filing a 2017 tax return applies to 2017 1040-X as well? Can't find any mentions of this anywhere online.

The Secretary has also determined that any individual with a period of limitations
to file a claim for credit or refund of Federal income tax that absent this notice would
expire on or after April 15, 2021, and before May 17, 2021 (for example, certain
individual taxpayers with claims for credit or refund in respect of their 2017 taxable
years), is an Affected Taxpayer.

    The extension is for 2020 forms 1040 due April 15 2021.

    I don't see anything that would leave me to believe that it applies to 2017 returns
