Question

Instructions/Letter

Two questions regarding payment dates. First, the system is telling me I have to use today's date as the date of electronic payment for a Maryland state tax return and that I can't use a future date. Second, on the instructions/letter, it says the date of withdrawal will be 4/15/25. How do I change this?

You dont mention what type of return this is, so I cant go and look at the layout, but Im assuming youve entered today's date ion the date of debit box on the information worksheet?

Does Maryland allow you to make payments directly on their website?  Might be a quicker way than futzing around with the software.

Sorry, it's a 1040 and Maryland 502. It's the Maryland payment date and yes, the system won't let me use any date other than today's date for a payment.

I'm sure Maryland lets you pay online but this is something that's going to keep coming up so I thought I'd ask.

The date on the letter can be changed, I have figured that out.
