how to stop repeated request for password
Proseries keeps asking for password and will ask again and again even though it is on a private desktop where only I have access. I would like to stop this annoyance.

Sorry, you can't. It's a security feature that was implemented last year (or maybe two years ago) and is here to stay. Too many identity thieves out there would love access to your computer. ProSeries is helping prevent that. Have fun with it. Make up goofy passwords that make you smile every time you type it in.
