how to efile a 1040x

im trying to efile 1040x but i cant get the correct numbers on 1040x since i filled as second income tax by error a 1040 instead of 1040x

You need to put the return back to how it was originally, then activate the 1040X then make the changes.

You could open the 1040X and use override to input the correct Original figures in the first column, but I dont think they will let you Efile with overrides.
