has there been a problem with failure to process 1040ES ACH payments with e-filed returns?
e-filed 2020 1040 on 03/30/2021 with option selected to process 1040es payment electronically
on 04/15/2021. return was accepted on 03/30/2021.
with the expectation there were no glitches in processing of ACH for 1040ES on 04/15/2021
2021 return was processed with estimated tax payment noted above. this week got a letter from
IRS, stating client owed when return actually showed an overpayment, research determined
the estimated tax payment on 04/15/2021 was not processed. All bank info was accurate.
has anyone else experienced this isssue?
