Generator purchase/install- Does this have to be depreciated or can I write the whole thing off? Sch C 

total cost $11,500 

They made $957,167 auto mechanic and used it for the shop

It sounds like an asset.  What is the expected useful life?  Is bonus depreciation an option here?

    You can potentially write if off, but it has to be done by way of bonus depreciation or section 179.
