Electronically Filling MD Corp returns for 2019

The MD Corp returns for 2019 keep rejecting with error code: STATE-005 The submission category of a state submission must match submission category of the referenced IRS submission. Federal taxes already submitted and accepted.

Maryland has made some changes regarding e-file of corporate return.  Try to “unlink” the MD e-file return from the federal return.

Go into Federal Information Worksheet.  At very bottom of Electronic Filing Information Area select QuickZoom to Electronic Filing Worksheet.  On this worksheet check the box in Part 1 – Check this box to force state only filing for all states selected to be filed electronically.

Save and retransmit the State return.

We are releasing a software update today to the TY 2019 MD that should help resolve some of these issues as well.  Update the software and see if it solves your issue.  Thank you!
