I applied to get my EFIN approved and got an email back 24 hours later with an approval. I tried to efile a return and it is still getting rejected to due to EFIN verification error

Are you getting EFIN and EIN numbers confused? EFINs don't tend to get approved in 24 hours.

If youve had an EFIN before and you're just adding a new address, I know they get approved super quick.

Did you update your software with the EFIN number?

I use Lacerte. I was told it would take a day or two after uploading the EFIN info. It took two hours. (I switched to an accountancy corporation earlier this year and was assigned a new EFIN). Anyway, in order to efile a prior year return, I'd have to process the change for the year's Lacerte.

Prolly TMI, but I need to warm up my keyboard before jumping into work.
