What is error code 120: ProSeries was unable to create a transmission wrapper for the selected return

never seen that one before...when does it happen..what are you doing?

Well it looks like its happened before but the link to the fix is gone.

Hi there,

Here's what I could find:

E-File Error: Unable to Create a Transmission Wrapper for the Selected Return(s)

Attempting to transmit an e-file return will fail with the error(s) Error Code 117, Error Code 155, Error Code 119, Error Code 113, Error Code 10250, or Error Code 25743 - "ProSeries was unable to create a transmission wrapper for the selected return(s)."

Solution Description:

Solution 1:

Open the client file and go to the appropriate federal or state return.
Hit the F9 key to recalculate then the F10 key to save the return.
Try to convert/transmit the return again.

Solution 2:

Open the client file.
Click the File menu and select Save As.
Enter a new File name that you can recognize as being a copy of this return and select Save.
Remove the original return from the EF Center
Try to convert/transmit the copy of the return.

Solution 3:

Remove all attached state returns and reattach them
Try to convert/transmit the return.
If you still can't transmit, uninstall the state formset(s), and then reinstall the state formset(s)
Try to convert/transmit the return.
