EF Status not updating

In ProSeries Pro, I've followed all the instructions and triple checked them but the EF status still shows Marked for EF -- NOT 1st extension...

Thanks for your question!

Please refer to this article, as it includes instructions on how to mark a return for extension for multiple return types: https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/federal-taxes/help/proseries-form-4868-faq-s/00/4679

Also, if you are filing an extension for the state, mark the state extension for e-file on the Federal Information Worksheet, then access the state return and confirm that the extension form has been activated.

These instructions were followed EXACTLY as noted and the results were not as instructions state they should be.  There's either a glitch in the program or the instructions need to be tweaked.
