Would anyone know why an e-filed accepted return would still be in the pending in the EF center?

How long in pending?    Try going to EF Center - Electronic Filing - Update Acknowledgment Status

instead of Receive Acknowledgment Status

I've had a few "stuck" that pulled through by doing this.
