duplicate client files/social security numbers

I'm unable to delete a duplicate client file/social security number either in HomeBase or in the EF Center.  The Client File Maintenance options are all gray so not allowing any of those on my PC.  Wassup? I'm sure it's something I need to change, just don't know what.......

open the file you want to get out of the EFCenter, uncheck the EF boxes on the Fed info worksheet, switch over to the state, then exit the file, be sure to SAVE it
