where in the software do you input the $300???

Enter the total charitable contributions on Schedule A, then go to Line 10b of the 1040 Wks.

    cant you just enter it on the 10b and avoid dragging Sch A into it?

      I guess you can. I think at one point it would give you an error if you did that, but it seems to work now to only use 10b and not use Schedule A.  Thanks.

      Yeah.... I struggled with this too.   The entry line is on the 1040 Worksheet.   You can get there by using the magnifier on Line 10a of the Form 1040
