Can I electronically amend returns? what years electronically?

I use basic. It looks like I can do a 2019 amended return electonically in the 2019 basic return software application?

Can some one give me the latest sofware status for electonic amended returns for all years?

Only 2019 and 2020 can Efile federal amended returns. For 2019 YOU need to have Efield the federal return using ProSeries. For 2020, they show the option for Efiling an amended return even if you didnt Efile the original, but Ive seen mixed results with this, many people still cant get it to go through.

You should use the 2019 software to amend a 2019 return, and as Lisa said you can efile it, if you prepared the 2019 original, otherwise you will mail it in.
