alternative minimum tax

I am working on a tax return with foreign tax credit.  Can I use the simplified limitation election for the alternative minimum tax or do I need to use the standard method?

You can, but some people were posting that you can't efile the return if you do.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Pro Series won't e-file the return with the simplified method.  I just want to make sure the simplified method can be used.  It makes a huge difference on the refund.
