Hoping someone can help me with this. How do I report 1099-B Proceeds on Form 8949 when the date acquired and cost is unknown?

That's when it's time for the client and their investment person to put their heads together to come up with some dates and costs.

    Flip through all the pages of the 1099B, sometimes they have it hidden back in there....otherwise have the client contact the broker to try and help them narrow it down.
