Does anyone know if their will be an update on how divorced parents switching dependents on each others tax returns? 6419 amount adjustment? Or just have them pay the IRS back on whatever amount a parent shouldnt have received?

Its simple.

If the person that got the ACTC isn't claiming the child in 2021, may have to pay it back (depending n their income level).  They had the chance to opt out.

The one claiming the child in 2021 didnt get any advance, so theyre entitled to the full amount on their return.

They will pay it back ------ but there is a possible loophole for some folks to not have to pay it back.
