I am receiving the error message "cannot file form 1040X when the original return was not successfully efiled".  The original 1040 was successfully efiled and is showing "Accepted" on the EF Clients.  Any idea why I am getting this message?

You MUST use the original client file that was Efiled originally...not a copy.   

The actual original file with the same file name, mark the amended box and make the changes on it.

      Was this for 2019 or 2020?  Because I need to know when we can efile a 2020 tax return.  Thanks

      I thought I saw that the 1040X for 2020 was ready....dont amend for the unemployment deal though, IRS says dont amend for that yet.
