Global features

So a few years ago we had the ability to make a change in a global or master file, and it would carry to all new returns, especially all that Misc/Misc stuff check box for 3rd party designee, add email address to form with chices 1 always, 2 supress unless required...why do we NO longer have that option?  And really how many of us requested that you take away the effective tax rate and make it optional? (now we have to go check a box on EACH & EVERY return)
