Error reads - "Filer's EIN and Name Control in the Return Header must match data in the e-File database. "
This return (Form 1041) was filed the previous year (2020) with no error/rejection. The return info was brought forward from the previous year return with no other modifications but is getting rejected from the IRS!

In another forum I am hearing of rejects due to Name Control, despite years of successful efiling..
If you have the EIN letter the name control should be on that.
If not, it is usually the first 4 letters of the last name of the person whose name appears in the trust name.
Ex: The John Smith Irrevocable Trust. Name Control = SMIT.
The more I know, the more I don't know.
