When inputing the 1099-Misc is seems to be doubling the social security every time. the 1099-Misc is also being doubled itself as it is being inputed. Is there a reason for this?

Are you entering it as a 1099 and as Gross Schedule C income?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

We are uploading straight from the source documents and the program is putting it in as a 1099-Misc as the document states.

    It’s not a 1099-MISC.

    It’s  Form SSA-1099.

An additional $100 of other income can mean up to $85 of Social Security is taxed.  That’s just the way the formula works.  At other income levels, $100 makes another $50 taxable.  So maybe you are putting the 1099-MISC income in two places -- “Other Income” and Schedule C?  I don't use Proconnect, so it might be helpful to give us some actual numbers.
