Locking Returns
I would like to see ProConnect offer the ability for tax return preparers to lock returns at their own discretion. My understanding is that, beginning with 2021 tax returns, ProConnect automatically locks returns as soon as they're e-filed. However, I unlocked a previously e-filed 2021 return and now want to re-lock it but am unable to do so. There is also no option to lock paper tax returns. In addition, there is no capabililty to lock prior year tax returns.
I think ProConnect should offer options for locking returns that mirror what the Lacerte product has to offer.
