The software-generated instructions for the Kentucky individual return say that the taxpayer must sign a 8879-K ... the state's version of the e-file authorization. However, that form does not get included in the PDF. The e-file instructions reference it, but the form is not generated. I called support and the agent had no idea.

Signature requirements for Kansas are fulfilled through IRS efile procedures. Kansas does not have a signature form.
Please see the Preparer's Handbook for Fed/State efile for additional information about filing Kansas Income tax returns.

Sorry, I cut my index finger and typing is greatly hampered.

I just tried KY only state return and I get a client letter that say “Your 2025 Kentucky Individual Income Tax Return will be electronically filed with the State of Kentucky”. I do not see 8879-K anywhere, except when I click ALL for FORMS where I could force it to print. I just did a quick sample return with rental income. I added a w-2 with ky withholding and still no 8879-K. Maybe @IntuitKatie could rattle a cage or two.

I see it under all forms also. Just can’t get it to print even if doing a partial print to PDF.
