HI!  What does "S Effective Date" mean on the very first section of "Client Information" when filling out a 1020S?  Above this entry they are already askign for date incoporated so what does this mean? What is it asking and when would it be used?

This is the very first date the business elected to be an S Corp wth the IRS. It could be different than when the business was first formed.
