I recently e filed a 2020 tax return to get my stimulus money. I don't normally file as I live on limited SSI. I now discovered that I actually did receive the stimulus money in 2020. What do I do to correct this with the IRS ?? I certainly don't want the IRS thinking I'm trying to run a scam.

The IRS has has a really big computer to keep track of that kind of stuff - they most likely won’t be sending you that refund.

You seem to be lost on the internet. You asked a question in a Professional Tax Practitioner forum for "running your Tax Practice" as business advice.

This is not for Tax Guidance.

You’ve come to a Peer User community for Intuit Tax Preparation products supporting tax preparation professionals using ProSeries, Proconnect and Lacerte Tax Preparation programs, and you may be looking for support as an individual taxpayer. Please visit the TurboTax Help site for support.

    Thanks.
