How do I issue a 1099-misc thru Pro Series Basic? Thank you!!!

My client has small construction company (sch-c) and needs to issue a 1099 to a worker ($850). How do I issue a 1099 thru Pro Series Basic, and should it be 1099-misc or the 1099-nec?

    You need Quick Employer Forms for creating and issuing 1099NEC.  You cant do it with ProSeries alone.

    You may want to find an online place to do just this one form, QEF is kind of pricey for just one form.

      In years past I've had TurboTax (over the counter) and could issue 1099's through that fairly easily, but no TT this year.

      OK, is -NEC the new -MISC?

      Yes NEC took the place of Box 7 on the 1099MISC.
