Data File Sharing

I am a single user REP Lacerte client.  I'm now living bi-coastal and want to be able to access my data files for returns from a different computer in different locations.  Can I just access the files on the remote computer using my MS One Drive (assuming I have downloaded the Lacerte app in both locations) or do I need to use some other file sharing service?
