Can you efile a 2018 individual amended return?

    Didn't Lacerte that we will now be able to efile amended tax returns? I thought I read that earlier in the year.

    Only 2019 returns forward.

      Edit.... my cheeky answer is wrong re: 2018 amended returns.  Only 2019 amended returns can be efiled (when the IRS reopens in late Jan 2021).

      Yes, if you wait until a lot later in the month.

      But not right now as the IRS has MeF closed down.

        @abctax55 is that something I missed, as I thought the IRS only changed the ability to Efile amended returns to 2019, or later.
